Shih Tzu Lion Dog
The Shih Tzu, meaning “Lion Dog,” is a cross between the Pekingese and Lhasa Apso. Nearly extinct in the 1930s, today’s Shih Tzus descend from just 14 dogs. They shed less but need daily brushing, are good with people and dogs, and require daily exercise while avoiding extreme heat.
