So Shih Tzu is a commonly misspelled dog breed, it’s up there with, Chihuahua (that one really is tricky), Dachshund, Pinscher (miniature and Doberman) and the Schnauzer. We all sometimes have words we can’t spell, they just sound or look weird – Rhythm, gets me a lot of the time, there seem to be just too many H’s in the word. Also when speed typing, as lets face it we tend to type faster than we write (or is that just me) – that become htah and it spends a lot of time coming out as TI.

The theme seems to be if we are not sure how a breed is spelt then we spell it as it sounds, so Phonetically. That way the Chihuahua has many thousands of searches instead for – Chiwawa. It looks exactly as it sounds. That one wins hands down for the frequency of misspelling but our lovely Shih Tzus, they have some of the most FUNNY phonetics variations.
Before I rescued Coco and became a fan of the breed, my preferred misspelling was Shiht Tzu. No idea why adding in an extra T made sense but it did at the time. So how do how how DID you spell this quirky little breeds name?
